Pradeep Rai is a Senior Advocate at the Supreme Court of India with over 25 years of distinguished legal experience. He serves as Chairman of the India Legal Research Foundation and the India Legal Aid Centre. A two-time Vice President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), he has played a key role in founding several SCBA sub-committees, including the Grievance Redressal, E-Committee, Health, and Bar Coordination Committees. He is elected vice president of The Indian Society for International Law
Designated as a Senior Advocate in 2015, Rai specializes in civil, criminal, revenue, and constitutional law. He has represented a diverse clientele, including corporate entities, Union and State governments, chief ministers, and high-profile personalities before the Supreme Court, High Courts, and various tribunals.
Rai has been actively involved in prison reform efforts, working alongside former Chief Justices M.N. Venkatachaliah and J.S. Verma. A strong advocate for mediation and arbitration, he has trained over 300 lawyers in these alternative dispute resolution methods. He also mentors young legal professionals through internship and capacity-building programs and has led welfare initiatives such as affordable housing and healthcare for SCBA members.
In addition to his legal practice, Rai has served as Vice Chairman of the National Anti-Doping Agency and currently acts as Editorial Advisor to APN News. His offices are located in Delhi, Noida, Mumbai, and Lucknow.
